Meet the director

                   Valerie May                  

    • Valerie was raised in a Christian home, so she has been in church all of her life. She has been a member of Brownsville Church since 2004. Valerie retired from Navy Federal credit union in December of 2021 after sensing a shift in her purpose.                               
    • That same year she became Executive director of the hope CENTER, A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT SEEKS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY VIA FREE GROCERIES, CLOTHING AND OTHER SERVICES.
    • Valerie has a heart for people and believes that she is following her mother's legacy of giving and serving.
